The manufacturing of membrane keyboards or displays is still mainly manual production of the components. FRITSCH provides some unbeatable options for cost optimisation and acceleration of production with their pick & place machines for the assembly of domes and LEDs.
Besides the data conversion from the usual CAD systems, the operating software has a DXF converter that can create assembly or dispensing positions for the membrane from the existing programming data.
The placeALL pick & place machine offers solutions for various types of feeding domes:
- Feeding from a belt
- feeding from sticks
- feeding from trays
- feeding as losse components with top/bottom position detection by way of a special vision system
- feeding from external feeder systems
The largest version of the pick & place machines with its market-leading assembly area of 1020 x 770 mm is available especially for the production of membrane keyboards. It has a large enough surface area to also assemble large formats at low cost.
Thanks to its modular concept, the pick & place machine can be combined with one or two dispenser heads at the same time. By doing so, LEDs and resistors can be assembled in addition in one production step without the need for an external dispenser.
When integrating 2 dispenser heads, SMD adhesive and silver conductive paste can be dispensed at the same time directly before the components are assembled. Of course, the dispenser control unit has a fluid level compensator and automatically takes consideration of the dripping time of the dispensing media.
