smartBULK Option

The placePRO includes the optional smartBULK Module with immediate effect. This module offers an automatic search for bulk goods components and the integrated component turning station even fully automatically turns parts that are the wrong way up.

The automatic component search alleviates and accelerates the production of the smallest series and prototypes considerably. The software automatically scans with the head camera for the required components prior to each assembly. In doing so, it even takes into consideration the component size in case a wrong component happens to be in the tray.

The component turner can be positioned anywhere within the assembly area. Components such as resistors can be automatically recognised and turned based on their differing colours on the top and bottom. This means that such components are always positioned the right way up.

Placement of loose components

To place loose components efficiently and solid, the placePRO offers a special developed procedure for pickup single components.
The placePRO is not only able to take single components out of the feeder. It also provides the possibility to mark various components for pickup before the actual placement.
This allows the operator to start an automatic placement of loose components after setup of the machine.
While the machine is placing the operator can proceed with other jobs.
If not enough components for placement are available, the intelligent software solution asks the operator to define more pickup positions.
This also happens optimized to have a low amount of work.
