Automatic measurement of the pickup position

Fritsch GmbH announces a brand-new and unique feature, which is supplied with the new software version V6.2 for all Pick&Placers of the placeALL® series. The software module APC (Automatic Pick Correction) automatically measures the pickup position of tape- and tube-feeders. Together with the Plug&Play feeder-rigging system of smartFEEDERs, changeover times are even further reduced when changing a product. For the first time an integrated solution is available, that allows the user to change feeders during placement and without any manual contact.
During the placement, pickup positions of each feeder are constantly measured and changed automatically when needed. Pickup problems are therefore reduced to an absolute minimum. Bad tapes or inaccurately teached-in positions are therefore substantially corrected. Measurement of the pickup position takes place „on the fly“ and thus doesn’t lower the placement speed of the Pick&Placer in any way.
The APC module itself is an integrated part of the placeALL® software and comes completely free of charge. The module can be setup as a simple software update for V5.4 and higher.
